Maggie haze - I always love the sweet smiles on everyone’s faces. I can’t help but think of the number of Americans going through their daily lives with a complete frown not recognizing everything we have in our lives. Here are people with very little smiling and laughing and praising god. Wonderful. Thanks Kristy!

By the way, we’re in Wayfare magazine!

Wayfare magazine recently interviewed us about adventure, parenting, and why we made the move to Burundi. Debbie Neethling - My daughter has just been on an overland through Africa trip for 8 months and she passed through Burundi. She was very interested in all the coffee plantations throughout East Africa as I have a coffee roasting business and buy all my coffee from East Africa. She sent me the link to your web site and suggested that I might enjoy it. What a treat! I have loved looking through everything and salute your spirit of adventure. As a Christian, I can relate to The Carlsom Mantra 100%. Keep up the fantastic work!

Sarah - I was looking at these pictures with my perceptive 2 year old, and at the very bottom left picture, he said, “he sad. He worried about his mommy.” Direct quote, honest!
