These are images from my solo-me-o trip to the USA with my oldest boy. You can read more about WHY we went HERE. I am so glad that I chose perspective and to journey forward DIFFERENTLY. I really was at a “breaking point” and I think often, when we humans are participating in a crazy emotional space like that, getting away can offer an amazing source of perspective. It is almost eerie just how much our lives have changed in the 6 weeks since I have gotten back. We have moved house, which is a pretty amazing change I’ll write more about later (I want to show you pictures, especially of the trampoline coming down the dirt road on the top of our car!). There are a huge handful of other daily life changes that have made all the difference to me and I just SEE so clearly that when I stood up and said “this isn’t working” it blew in the freeing winds of change. I was so worried that I would look like I was the ONLY ONE who couldn’t “hack it” here. Instead, waves of grace and good things and good COMPANY have been circling through our lives. I am so grateful, for YOU as well. Thank you for commenting and emailing and journeying… I have felt so blessed by your words and your lives.

imene - We go home to Algeria once a year. There is magic to bringing your children back to where you came from. It is such a special moment for us.
I love how you captured your stay
longmilescoffee - @Sev bahahaha! Don’t let a cool mid-western type hear you say that
Love it!
Sev - It’s funny, those pics remind me of the movie “Fargo” – it looks like such a different world than the one i’m used to seeing you in and i love it x
Ben - I think you really captured it in these images. And you still came back after all that! amazing.
Dawn - Love these! Thanks for sharing … so glad you went! I look forward to hearing about more of the changes of the past 6 weeks and their effects.
